Some people choose to be boring – we choose to play with color!
Suunto Race has been the shining star since its launch in the end of 2023. Now, the team is continuing its success story by bringing three new color options to the family. The new Suunto Race variants have the same product benefits as their sister models Suunto Race Charcoal in titanium, and Suunto Race All Black in stainless steel, and bring added variety for users who look for a pop of color.
VANTAA (January 25, 2024). - TheSUUNTO RACE watch made for training and racing comes with a large AMOLED display, sapphire crystal finishing, innovative training features and detailed offline maps. The design is carefully crafted and built for athletes who want to improve their performance and challenge themselves. It is made for multiple sports for training, racing, and the time in between.
Suunto Race was first launched on October 13, 2023. Since its launch, only a bit over three months ago, Suunto Race users from around the globe have generated astonishing figures: they have run 830,000 kilometers, cycled 353,000 kilometers, climbed 36 million meters and tracked their activity for a total of 247,000 hours.
Now, Suunto Race will be featured in colors of Amethyst, Midnight and Birch, which brings added color to the product range. Although black and dark colors are the most popular options when choosing a watch, the team behind product development has observed a growing demand for different straps and watch designs, to fit one's style and add a personal touch. Colourful watches and straps are considered sporty and joyful, as well as modern.
„In everyday life, I prefer simple colors. But when I'm doing sports, I like to be more flashy, because I feel more like in race mode. A little splash of color on the wrist not only awakens the desire for spring, but also motivates for fast runs."
Kimi Schreiber, Trail runner
Suunto Race presents itself with a high-resolution 1.43" AMOLED display and a digital crown that makes accessing the numerous functions quick and easy. To boost confidence on the starting line, the watch comes with training metrics that provide the tools to prepare for that race or challenge and supports the balance of training and recovery. By measuring heart rate variability, HRV, one can assess their recovery state and compare their latest values to long-term HRV, and analyse if recovery is being compromised. The free, improved maps can be downloaded directly onto the watch so athletes can always find their route, even offline.
In addition, Suunto Race has an impressive battery life: it can last up to 40 hours when training non-stop with GPS tracking, and up to 26 days in daily mode. Both stainless steel and titanium variants of the Suunto Race family are tested on Suunto standards: they are tested on military standards and they withstand weather conditions from -20° C to +55° C. The watch is equipped with a robust sapphire crystal glass and is water resistant up to 100 meters.
We continuously improve the software of our products, and you can expect new software updates and improvements to your Suunto Race still in spring 2024.
Suunto Race in new colors are available from January 25, 2024.
